Direction according to Vastu:

  1. East Direction: East Direction is the direction of Sunrise. Positive and energetic rays enter our house from this direction. If the main gate of the house is in this direction then it is very good. You can also keep a window.
  2.  West direction: The toilet of the house should be in this direction. It should also be kept in mind that the kitchen should not be near the toilet
  3. North direction: Most of the windows and doors of the house should be in this direction. The balcony and wash basin of the house should also be in this direction. If the main gate is in this direction then it is very good
  4. South direction: There should not be any kind of open space, toilet, etc. in the south direction. Keep heavy items at this place in the house. If there is a door or window in this direction, then there will be negative energy in the house and the oxygen level will also decrease. This increases troubles in the house.
  5. North-east direction: It is also called Ishaan direction. This direction is the place of water. Boring, swimming pools, places of worship, etc. should be in this direction. It is very good to have the main gate in this direction
  6. North-west direction:  it is also called the Vayavya direction. Your bedroom, garage, cowshed, etc. should be in this direction
  7.  South-east direction: It is called the Agni angle of the house. It is the direction of the fire element. Gas, boiler, transformer, etc. should be in this direction. South-west direction: This direction is called the Nairitya direction. There should be no openness in this direction, any windows, and doors at all. The head of the house’s room can be made here. You can keep cash counters, machines, etc. in this direction.
  8.  Courtyard: If there is no courtyard in the house, then the house is incomplete. There should be a courtyard in front and behind the house, even if it is small. Apart from basil, pomegranate, jamun, sweet or bitter neem, amla, etc., plant flowering plants that give positive energy in the courtyard.

Vastu for different parts of the home:

  • Bedroom: Your master bedroom should be in the south-west direction. This is auspicious for the house owner. For newly married people the right direction of the bedroom should be north or northwest. For unmarried girls, the right bedroom direction is in the northwest direction. Keep in mind that the head should not be in the north direction while sleeping. Having the bedroom in the southeast direction while sleeping having the bedroom in the southeast direction is also not considered auspicious. There is a quarrel between husband and wife, lack of sleep, and anxiety.
  • Puja Room: It is considered best to have the Puja Room in the northeast corner. If the rays of the Sun fall on this place at sunrise, it purifies the atmosphere of the house. While doing Puja your face should be towards the north, east, or northeast. There should not be a toilet above or below the Puja room. The color of the paint in Puja’s room should be light yellow, orange, or sky blue. It is also considered auspicious to have a Tulsi plant near Puja room.
  • Bathroom: If possible you should get the bathroom built in the east direction. It is said that if sunlight falls on the body while bathing, it gives you health benefits. The flow of water in the bathroom should be towards the east only. The color of the tiles in the bathroom should also be light.
  • Kitchen: Your kitchen should be in the south-east direction because this direction is believed to be the abode of the fire god. Gas and stove burners should be kept in this direction. It is auspicious if the housewife faces east while cooking. You can also cook while facing west. The kitchen should not be in the northeast corner even by mistake. This leads to the fear of fire accidents
  •   Tijori aur wardrobe: The North direction is the most suitable for keeping cash or gold and silver. The north direction is believed to be the abode of Kubera. The cupboard or locker should not be kept in the northeast corner. Suitcases or other heavy items should not be kept on top of the cupboard. Doing so leads to a loss of money.
  •  Toilet: it is advisable to build the toilet in the north-west corner, south-east corner or in the middle of the building. The toilet seat should be in such a direction that the person sitting faces north or south.
